Day 1
  • Arrival to Chandigarh

    Upon arrival in Chandigarh by flight, you are welcomed to India’s best-planned and cleanest city, famously known as “The Beautiful City.” Chandigarh serves as the capital of both Punjab and Haryana and was designed by the renowned architect Le Corbusier. Iconic landmarks include the Capitol Complex, High Court, Secretariat, Legislative Assembly, and the monumental Open Hand Monument.

    After being picked up from the airport in a private vehicle, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.

    Later, begin your first city tour with a visit to Chandigarh’s famous Rock Garden. This extraordinary garden, created by Nek Chand, is unique worldwide, constructed entirely from recycled industrial and household materials, showcasing creative sculptures and installations.

    Next, visit the picturesque Sukhna Lake, located at the foothills of the Shivalik Range, where you can enjoy the cool breeze, tranquil atmosphere, and natural beauty of the surroundings.

Day 2
  • From Chandigarh to Shimla

    After breakfast, depart from the hotel and head towards Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas. Known as the “Queen of Hills,” Shimla was the summer capital of British India and still retains the charm of its colonial architecture.

    Along the way, a private vehicle will take you to Kalka Railway Station, where you will board the scenic Kalka–Shimla Toy Train. Completed in 1903 and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historic mountain railway is one of India’s most famous hill trains. Your journey through lush green mountains, tunnels, and bridges offers an unforgettable experience.

    Shimla stretches along a 12-kilometer ridge, with steep, forested slopes descending in all directions. The city provides breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, making it ideal for both relaxation and exploration.

Day 5
  • From Tirthan Valley to Manali

    Manali, situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters (6,726 feet), lies along the Beas River, historically notable as the region reached by Alexander the Great’s expedition.

Day 6
  • Manali Sightseeing

    After breakfast, begin your full-day sightseeing in Manali with a visit to the charming Vashisht Village, located just 3 km from town across the Beas River. The village is famous for its sulfur hot springs and the historic Vashisht Temple, built beside the springs. The waters are believed to have therapeutic properties for skin conditions and various ailments.

    Next, visit the Hadimba Temple, dating back to 1553. The temple is renowned for its beautifully crafted four-tiered pagoda-style roof, intricate wooden carvings on the doors, and its serene location within a lush forest park.

    Continue to Van Vihar National Park, near Mall Road, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the deodar trees and a small artificial lake, perfect for a relaxing boat ride.

Day 7
  • Solang Valley

    Next, travel through the Atal Tunnel, 9.02 km long, the world’s longest high-altitude tunnel above 3,048 meters, connecting the Kullu Valley with Lahaul.

    Along the route, you will have the opportunity to explore the traditional village of Sissu, known for its picturesque scenery and authentic Himalayan atmosphere.

Day 8
  • Drive to Palampur

    After breakfast, depart from your hotel and head towards Palampur, known as the tea capital of northwestern India. While tea plantations are the main attraction, Palampur also impresses with its lush nature, abundant water resources, and mild mountain climate. Arrive in Palampur in the late afternoon and check in at your hotel.

    After settling in, visit the famous Tea Gardens of Palampur, stretching along the hillsides. These plantations were established by Dr. Jameson, who introduced tea cultivation to the region.

    Next, explore Saurabh Van Vihar, a natural park dedicated to the brave soldier Saurabh Kalia, a martyr of the Kargil War. The park is situated on the banks of the snow-fed Neugal Khad River in the village of Kwat, offering verdant landscapes and a tranquil atmosphere.

  • Drive to Dharamsala

    After breakfast, depart from your hotel and head towards the picturesque Dharamshala, located in the upper region of the Kangra Valley in Himachal Pradesh.   • Dharamsala Sightseeing

    After breakfast, begin a day filled with religious and cultural experiences in Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj.

    Start with the Dalai Lama Temple Complex (Tsuglagkhang Temple), a significant political-religious center steeped in Tibetan culture. The temple offers a peaceful space for meditation and spiritual reflection, with monks chanting and prayer wheels turning continuously. The Dalai Lama frequently visits for prayer and teaching, as his residence is nearby.

    Next, visit the Namgyal Monastery, the largest Tibetan monastery outside Tibet, where the Dalai Lama maintains a spiritual presence.

    Continue to the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, established by the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. The library houses artifacts and manuscripts dating back to the 12th century and serves as a pioneering institution for the study and research of Buddhism.

    Conclude the day with a visit to the historic Saint John in the Wilderness Church, an Anglican church nestled among lush deodar trees, providing a serene and peaceful environment to unwind.

  • Departure

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel. A private car will transfer you to Kangra Airport for your onward flight.
